Presenter: Chris is a Senior Engineer at ENGEO Incorporated and has been practicing geotechnical engineering in the Bay Area for 7 years. He has provided design and construction quality control services during horizontal and vertical development for the Treasure Island project.
Presentation Summary: Nestled in the center of the San Francisco Bay are Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island. The Treasure Island Development project will build a new community on these two islands, which comprise of 575 acres and have stunning Bay views. The project will construct approximately 8,000 housing units, a combined 500,000 sq ft of retail, office, and commercial space, 300 acres of public parks, and new infrastructure, including a transit hub with a ferry terminal. Join us as we discuss the island’s history and geologic hazards, along with the award-winning geotechnical mitigation program implemented in the first phase of the Treasure Island Development project.
